Open call for a project about the food on postcard.

Artist M. will feature a new exhibition about the food in the restaurant of the jailhouse of Rouen, France.

Theme: Describe artistically your own and unique vision of the food and his effects on the health ( good or bad ).

Examples : Fast food, French cooking, canteen, collective catering, tinned foods, grub, anorexic, binge eating syndrome, obesity, vegetarian, vegan, cannibalism, candy, starvation, vitamin (rich or low)…

Size: Postcard Size ( 4 x 6 inch) only.

Medium: Open Techniques (painting, drawing, photography, collage...) Only original works will be accepted. No e-mail-contributions, and no black & white photocopies.

IN ORDER TO INQUIRE THE IMPORTANCE OF LIFE OVER THE WATER CONCEPT, LET US ADOPT SAPANCA LAKE AND CONSERVE THE LAKE AND ITS FAUNA AND FLORA THROUGH “WATER CYCLE” MAIL ART PROJECT.

“Water Cycle” Mail Art Project will be held with Atölye Arts-In and Sapanca City Council cooperation, with Nazire Öztunalı acting as the organizer. Several exhibitions will be organized under the project during 2015. 

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

01.       Participation is free. 

02.       It is open to all artists wishing to participate. Each artist may participate with more than one work. 

03.       Category: Painting, Drawing / Design, Gravure, Photographing 

04.       Size: 10 x 15 cm, 13 x 18 cm 

05.       Technique: All kinds of techniques may be applied. 

06.       Racist, fanatic and pornographic works will not be exhibited. 

07.       The works should be original.

08.       The exhibited works will not be returned. The works will be included in the archives of Sapanca City Council.

RESIST 100 YEARS OF WAR

This mail art project is not in opposition or competition but in support of the existing mail art projects on the anniversary of the so-called « great » war.

So we support and encourage the efforts of Jan Theunink and Paul Verhulst in Belgium,

those of Theresa Easton in the UK and the Hungarian project (a collaboration between networkers in Hungary, Germany and Austria, the world will follow).

We also salute the incredible individual efforts of artists like Eric Bensidon and Alain Cotten in France and Otto Sherman in the USA.

THE MAIL ART PROJECT WE PROPOSE is based on

°  the refusal of war as a destruction of people’s common togetherness and solidarity

War was conducted by those who did not know eacht other for the bank accounts of those who knew each other quite well (to paraphrase Valéry)

°  the refusal of any kind of war nostalgia or the recuperation of so-called peace by institutions like the EC or the UN (who have no problem launching new wars « in the name of peace and freedom»)

° the backing of a total rehabilitation for all soldiers who were executed by their own commanders and governments « as example », with excuses as cowardice, or desertion, or you have lost your equipment and other nonsens

° the backing of independent historical research on what happened during these « great » wars

You can fill in yourself other angles of interests, the list is limitless
